Acer japonicum: Full Moon Japanese Maple Seeds
Packet contains 15 seeds; Zones 5 to 7 : Grows to 12/15 ft. A very desirable small to medium-sized Japanese Maple. Sometimes referred to as a 'Full Moon Maple', this native to Japan has a broad, circular 9-fingered green leaf that is somewhat less deeply 'cut' than Acer palmatum. Handsome smooth gray bark. Displays brilliant red, yellow or orange fall colour. Also known as 'Meigetsu'.

Acer palmatum 'Aka shigitatsu sawa': Japanese Maple Seeds
Packet contains 15 seeds; Zones 5 to 8 : Grows to 10-15 ft. A red-tinged Japanese Maple with long seven-lobed leaves. New leaves emerge maroon and when fully open develop dark veins on a light yellow-green background. However, the leaf retains a strong pink/red overtone. Towards late season, the leaf tends to darken somewhat, developing greener tones. A hardy tree, but somewhat difficult to propagate. The name means 'red snipes over a winter marsh' in ancient Japanese. Also known as 'Beni shigitatsu', 'Samari', or 'Samurai'.
