General Care Tips

Also know as a Mexican Washington Palm, Young Washington Palms need plenty of sun. Trees will tolerate soils and drought. Prune sparingly.

Things to Watch For

Insect pests include scales, coconut mealybug, palm leaf skeletonizer and palm platid planthopper. The Washington Palm is vulnerable to root rot in wet soils.
