When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Bloodgood Japanese Maple has a slow to moderate growth rate. It grows up to 30 feet in height and 20 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 5 to 8. Prefers full sun or partial shade and moist, well-drained soils.
