Unusual 6-8 inch drooping needle habit gives this tree a soft textured effect. Used as an ornamental specimen planting in Europe. This elegant tree has bonsai potential.
When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Himalayan White Pine has a moderate growth rate and needs room to spread. Grows 50 to 80 feet in height and 30 to 50 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 5 to 8. Requires full sun with moist, well-drained, sandy loam. It does not tolerate drought.
