An attractive ornamental plant with striking leaves that look almost as if they have been shaved on the edges. A beautiful white flower emerges from the center of the plant in summer and remains for several weeks. Good in rock gardens and along wooded borders. Flowers are edible and can attract butterflies.
Can grow in the shade provided there is good air circulation and can tolerate a variety of soils. It is tolerant of drought and fairly tolerant of salt. Plantings should be 36-60 inches apart.

Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: None required
Germination: Sow seed 1/8 inch deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
